SOUTHWEST AREA COUNCIL OF PRESIDENTS MEETING /OFFICERS TRAINING SCHOOL

The Southwest  ACOPS/ Officers Training school started on  13th January, 2017 when Local Organization Presidents and Area Officers from the length and breadth of the Southwest Area arrived to meet and learn how each Local Organization is planning to create positive change in their locality.

Training for the School began in earnest on  14th January, 2017, with a training by ever ebullient  JCI SEN [REV] SUNDAY FOLAYAN, who spoke on “Turning Towards Visible Impact”. The training was impactful, enlightening, captivative and educative.

Following closely was  a training on JCI Corporate identity Guidelines  taken by the National Director of Training, Oluwatosin Ligali. The training was to ensure that the visual elements of JCI Brand are applied correctly in every application JCI is identified, thereby, providing consistency in a large, diverse organization like JCI.

Next was a discussion with the 2017 President, Richard Ojo and 2016 National President Olatunji Oyeyemi together with 1990 National President Ibi Shofekun. The Panel discussed and analysed issues confronting the National Organizaton and advised Local Organization Presidents on the most profitable course of action.

Finally, Local Organization Presidents and AREA team members presented their plans of action. The gathering later agreed to work towards increasing the membership of the organization in the area by 20% and further pledged to be financial to the National Organization before the end of March 2017.

In all the South-West OTS/ACOPS was educative, properly planned and executed and above all impactful, showing obviously that we are indeed at the TURNING POINT.
