Great effort by the leadership of the assigned National Executive Vice President Sayo Ojo and Onyinye Mbeledogu. We have the Northern meeting to go in a couple of days and I trust in the natural ability of National Executive Vice Presidents Adetola Juyitan and Kunle Omowaye to lead fruitful deliberations in the way forward for communities across Northern Nigeria.
My sincere appreciation to the JCI Nigeria Senate Association Chairman - JCI Senator Cornelius Semiteje and other JCI Senators in Asaba for the great host and audience granted to the National Board in Asaba. Our Local Organisations have taken great steps to contribute to the development of the National Organisation by contributing to the National Debate in their Areas. Don’t be left out. Your submission is very important to the strategic development of our organization in Nigeria.
What I see is hope. What I see is determination. What I see is a great future. Together we shall build and regenerate the passion and strength of JCI in Nigeria.
AFRICAN AND MIDDLE-EAST PRESIDENTS MEETING
It was a fantastic experience in Niamey, Niger Republic this past week meeting with other National Presidents from Africa & The Middle East charting the course for a renewed continent and also growing our presence to further solve the challenges we face. It’s also important to note that JCI Nigeria is key to the growth of JCI within the Area and we must continually support Local Organizations to produces quality members that will go all out to become what they can be and collectively transform into stronger and impact driven National Organizations.
JCI is fast evolving and its perspectives must be fully understood by the members in other to market and share the fortunes of the organization with our friends in all works of life. The new direction around active citizenship and how to create the needed impact in the society will be shared with the Northern Team and other leaders by the fourth coming South West Conference. I will share a local action bulletin to enhance our recruitment plan on the next generation of Active citizens.
2017 JCI DEVELOPMENT GRANT
We applied for the JCI development grant but unfortunately we couldn’t get approval from JCI to further strengthen our ongoing secretariat development plans, do recall that in 2015 we secured the grant and that was directed at securing our current operational secretariat. With a keen eye on a permanent location we shall continue to seek sponsorship for this task. Sincere appreciation for the efforts of President Tunji Oyeyemi and contributions of JCI President Paschal Dike, our promise to everyone is that we will not relent in our effort of having a permanent and self-sustaining secretariat.
