Speaking on the event, the president of JCI Victoria Island Mr Jide Benson stated that ‘women have by themselves changed the game in many fields of endeavor. They juggle many balls; as wives, mothers, business and career persons and they are often able to juggle these balls without dropping any’. ‘Our speakers at this event fall into that category and have earned by dint of hard work the right to be referred to as game changers. Except Mrs Osibodu, no Nigerian till date has been MD of three banks so it could not have been a fluke or being three times lucky. Mrs Akinkugbe runs the only certified Master Card and Visa Card personalisation company in Sub Saharan Africa and caters to the smart card needs of West Africa’.
The event is open to young people with great aspirations in business and career as well as public spirited individuals desirous of making impact in their communities. It aligns with the leadership and entrepreneurial area of opportunity of the JCI.
The Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global organization of young people under the age of 40 with a vision to provide development opportunities for young active citizens to create positive change.
