The 50th President of JCI Nigeria,  JCIN Amb Abiola Olorunnisola in the company of the JCI Abuja Unity President,  JCIN Amb Desmond Umukoro, Executive Secretary of JCI Nigeria. National Board Members,  Abuja Unity Board Members and members of the Abuja Unity Local Organisation paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister for Youths and  Sports Development, Mr Sunday Akin Dare to appreciate him for honoring our Invitation at the just concluded JCI Nigeria Northern Conference ably hosted by JCI Abuja Unity.

The Honorable Minister noted his impression and excitement with the Organization during the just concluded Northern Conference as he saw the level of commitment on the faces of the Youths in attendance who are willing to change the narratives.

He noted the age band of the Organization which is 18 – 40 years old and encouraged JCI Nigeria to champion the advocacy for the review of the National Youth Policy with a view to extending the age band in the policy which has 35 years as the benchmark. That the increase in the age band will avail a lot of Youths to benefit from the Federal Government programs.

The meeting yielded positive results which includes:

  1. Partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development on the following:
    • Digital Skills Training for Youths
    • Access to Credit for self starters etc
    • Quality Education supported by grants and scholarships from the Federal Government and Private Corporate bodies
