The Collaborate for Impact (CFI) team of the chapter ably led by 2021 President JC Oluwaseun Mercy Ogunleye set out 1st January, 2021 for our baby of impact project at exactly 11am upon the news of first baby of the year delivery at Simawa Primary Health Centre, Simawa and Batoro Health Centre, Batoro, Sagamu, Ogun State respectively.

On arrival at our first location (Simawa Primary Health Centre) a centre located at a remote area and outskirt of the town, we were gladly received by Mrs. Adeniye A.I (Community Health Extension Worker) and host of other staffs on duty.

The new baby girl was said to have been delivered at Simawa Primary Health Centre at about 12:14am of 1st January, 2021 to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Asafa Samsideen Olaitan of No 54 Ogo Oluwakitan Estate, off Simawa Road, Simawa, Ogun state. While reacting, the mother of the newborn baby girl expresses her heartfelt appreciation upon the receipt of the baby’s gift items presented by the local organisation. This kind of gesture to her was so rare and could not have envisaged such coming. I pray the chapter and members shall continue to progress to a greater height. Mrs. Asafa Muinat Omolola responded.

The Medical officer on duty, Mrs Adeniye A.I in her reponse also appreciated the chapter for the philanthropic gesture and as well use the medium to make known some of the things the centre is lacking and solicited for donation which includes: weighing scale, thermometer, sphigmanometer etc

The train then move to Batoro Primary Health Centre, Batoro, Sagamu at about 2:50pm for our 2nd baby of impact for the year where we met with the family of Mr. & Mrs. Wasiu Abobade, an indigene of Ibadan whom God bless with a bounding baby girl as well at about 1:15am on Friday 1st January, 2021.

On arrival at the health centre, the staffs on duty headed by Mrs. Aduloju ABO gladly welcome us with so much enthusiasms upon their much anticipation of our arrival.

The Local Organisation President, JC Oluwaseun Mercy Ogunleye after a brief introduction of the Organization, presented the baby gift items brought to the lucky family as our little widows might support.

Mr. Abobade, the father of the new born seeing the gift items could not hide the joy as he bursted into prayer and smiles. The mother of the baby also expressed her sincere gratitude for the donation.

Mrs. Aduloju ABO, the senior medical officer on duty at Batoro Health centre, sagamu also expresses her amazement to the kind gesture and the worth of the gift items presented, especially with the current economic situation of the country. She overwhelmingly prayed for the chapter and members for the selfless service to humanity. She along side brought to our notice some of the needed items in the centre namely: Bed, weighing scale, BP apparatus etc.

Members of the Local Organisation on the 2021 train led by the President JC Oluwaseun Mercy Ogunleye includes: JCIN Amb Babatunde Odunbaku (IPP), JC Abdulrahman Adebayo (VP Project, 2021), JC Olamide Yinusa (2021 Director of Finance), JCIN Amb Lateef Bello (Past President), JC Bamidele Yussuf (Past President), JC Ayomide Onakoya (2021 Director of Publicity), JC Ododife Glory (2021 Director of Welfare) and JC Caleb Oluleye.

The Collaborate for Impact team departed the centre at about 3:30pm as the year 2021 baby of impact project came to a memorable end.

The Local Organisation shall continue to collaborate for impact as we journey through 2021.
