Report on JCI Benin Metro "Walk Out Leprosy Campaign" Organized on the 1st of February, 2018. 
In a bid to join JCI Nigeria,  JCI local organizations ,other NGOs and well - meaning Nigerians to promote the awareness campaign of Leprosy, JCI Benin Metro engaged in a *Walk Out Leprosy Campaign* on the 1st of February, 2018. 
At about 7:30, members of JCI Benin Metro converged at the Museum Ground at King's Square where the walk commenced. Having invited members of some NGOs and the Nigerian Bar Association, all present began to walk while sensitising the public about leprosy, it's management, cure and prevention.
JCI Benin members and invited guests walked through Sapele Road to the premises of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) where our President gave a Press Statement wherein he called on the State and Federal Government to look into the plight of the people at the Leprosy home in Ossiomo,Ogan community. Mr. President also called on other NGOs to engage the Government until they fulfils her promise to revitalize and re-brand the Leprosy Home and give better care to those affected by the disease. 
After the Press briefing by Mr. President, the Secretary of the NUJ thanked members of JCI Benin Metro for organizing the walk. He encouraged members not to give up on the advocacy campaign while promising that the respected gentlemen of the Press will join JCI in calling the attention of the Government and other well - meaning persons to the depressing state of the Leprosy Home at Ossiomo. 
The *walk* came to an end at the premises of the NUJ at about 10am after Mr. President appreciated everyone for joining in the momentous campaign.
